Does it float?

Yes, the car is a full fiberglass hull that is watertight. The drive axels, steering and brake lines are the only components that are sealed through the hull.

Does it drive on the highway?

Yes, it drives like a small jeep.

How fast is it?

10kph in the water and 140+kph on land.

How long did it take to build?

It took me about 6 months (over the winter).

Can it go in deep water?

There is no limit as to how deep the water can be. I have had it in 116 feet deep water so far. Still makes me a little nervous though.

Is it good on fuel?

Fuel mileage is the exact same as a Suzuki Samurai on land (27 MPG highway). It does drink a little more in the water.

Where can I get one?

You can purchase one on line from Dutton Amphibious cars. Note: you should only order the kit for Canada, as it would be very difficult to ship a complete vehicle over while meeting today’s road standards.

Is it 4wd?

Yes, the axels are standard Suzuki. The 4wd makes it much easer for getting out of the water.
